The four aluminium discs with tough anodized surfaces of mirror silver mirror black, matt silver and matt black have dramatically different properties. Each disc has a 30-60 degrees liquid crystal thermometer bonded to them, showing clearly how surface coulour and texture affect the absorption and reflection of radiant heat. These discs are perfect for rapid and repeatable results for experiments with infrared absorption.
